About Me

I’m a Toronto-based media professional with over 10 years of writing and editing experience. I have a passion for creative content and my writing experience ranges from brief front-of-the-book pieces to long-form journalism.

As a contributor for the The Philippine Reporter newspaper, I focus on issues that matter to the Filipino-Canadian community. I’m also a communicator for World Vision Canada where I review translated copy for spelling and grammatical errors, while adhering to the organization’s style guidelines.

Previously, I was an assistant editor at Today’s Chicago Woman magazine where I wrote and edited monthly columns on fashion, dining, weddings and travel. As a sub-editor at Gulf News, a Dubai-based newspaper, I edited women’s magazines and shopping guides. My background in journalism has helped me hone my proofreading skills and develop an eye for detail. By working closely with editors and designers, I learned to create high-quality content that’s in-keeping with the tone of each publication.
